Sundar Pichai to the CEO of Google Alphabet Company

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, the world's largest tech company, has now been appointed as the CEO of Google's company Alphabet. Sundar Pichai has been appointed to the post following the resignation of Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Sergey Brin and Larry Page will both be shareholders of the company as well as the board of directors, though the CEO has resigned.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin both graduated from Stanford University. The two have announced their resignation as CEO two decades after the founding of Google. Following his resignation, Sundar Pichai will take over as CEO of both Google and Alphabet. Alphabet was founded by Google in 2005 and changed the company. Alphabet is a group of different companies. The company sees Google as a separate work of companies like Waymo (Automated Cars), Verily (Biological Sciences), Calico (Biotech R&D), Sidewalk Lab (City) and Loon (Internet facility in rural areas with balloons).


Sundar Pichai's full name is Sundar Rajan Pichai. Pichai was born on July 3, 1979, at Mudarai in Tamil Nadu. He holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania in the US after completing his MS in B Tech and Stanford University from IIT Kharagpur. Sundar Pichai has been appointed CEO of Google for 7 years.
